Life with 2 under 2!

Well, it has been 8 months since my last post-shame on me!

It has been a difficult few months since the loss of my grandparents. They were such wonderful people and so involved in my life that it is hard to believe they are gone. I sometimes think I will look at my phone and see that my Grandma is calling to catch up or see my Grandpa meet us at the car when we get to the cabin. They were so in love with Greta--it is difficult to see her learning and doing so many things without them being involved.  I miss them dearly every day, but have comfort in knowing they are watching over us. Thank you to our friends for your wonderful support in the last 5 months!

We of course added our new addition-Cora Marie on Christmas day. She was a ray of sunshine in the midst of chaos and heartbreak. Cora has brought so much joy to us and to our entire family. She is a  happy, well behaved baby and she is a BIG girl-very healthy! She is consistently in the 98th percentile for height and weight. Cora is starting to grab for her toys, she is rolling over, and is trying to sit up. She continues to be smiley and content-which is perfect since her sister is SO BUSY!

Greta is definitely heading into the "Terrible Twos". She keeps us on our toes and is very sassy and sometimes bossy :) Greta loves reading books, swinging, playing with her toy kitchen and climbing (which gets tricky when I find her on top of the changing table or in Cora's crib)! Her vocabulary has grown so much in the last month or so. She is saying 4 or 5 word sentences and can repeat most anything we say (yikes). My favorite sayings right now are "Oh goodness", "Cora Rie", "My do it", "Come on Mommy", and "I want strawbears (strawberries)"! I can't believe she will be 2 in a few short weeks-where did the time go. Greta keeps us so happy, what a blessing to our lives!

That's about it for now. Dan is still busy working with Hormel and I am teaching an Online class for Rasmussen from home. We are continuing to do some house projects and are hoping to spend lots of time at the lake this summer. I will try to be better about posting, but can't promise anything. Turns out being a Mom of 2 under 2 is busy :)
