Falling Behind!

Well, it has been about 6 months since my last post, so we have lots to update!

Our Big Girl is already 15 months old and is busy as can be. She loves playing outside, balls, dogs (from a distance), shoes, reading books, and eating any type of fruit. We had a doctor's appointment recently and she was 31" tall and 22lbs. Her favorite words are "mama, dada, ball, side (outside), nooo, snack". Greta is running all over the place and is trying to master going down the stairs. She is a very picky eater, except for mac n cheese, fruit, and yogurt, so we are trying to experiment to find more things that she likes. She recently moved to the toddler room at daycare and is loving playing with the "big kids". There is a lot more action in that room and they get to go outside and do more art projects, so she is in heaven. We have tried telling her about the new baby that will be coming for Christmas, but I think she is a little young to comprehend the whole thing--I guess she will figure it out when she has to start sharing her room!

We are finally settled into our new house and have done a few small projects to update some things, we of course have a long list of "wants", but that will have to wait. The neighborhood is quiet and there is a park nearby, our fenced in yard has been nice as well since Greta started running everywhere. We are having a Shaughnessy get together in October and a Dove Thanksgiving, so we are happy to have the space for everyone to visit!

Dan is still busy as ever with his job, but has been travelling a little less, which is nice for us. My job is keeping me busy enough, we just had a class graduate in September, so I am busy assisting them with their job search.

Baby #2 is growing every day-only about 11-12 weeks left and he/she will be here! Not sure we are ready for the chaos that is coming, but we will make it work. We are excited to add another member to our family, but not as excited about sleepless nights and double diaper duty :) Hopefully I can update more often!

Our Little Leprechaun!

We had a great St. Patrick's Day with Dan's family. We were in the Minneapolis parade and Greta loved it. She got tired by the end, but she was still smiling! Our new schedule of work and daycare is going well, Greta likes her new friends and seems to be adjusting to her new environment. My job is coming along, lots of new things to learn, but I am getting the hang of it. We also have a final close date on our house--April 30th. We are very excited to move into our own home and really settle in--now let the decorating begin! That's it for now, hope everyone is enjoying our early spring, hopefully it can stick around!

Back to Work

Well, I officially received a job offer from Rasmussen College and start on March 12th. I will be a Career Services Advisor with their online division. My primary responsibility will be to help students and recent graduates with their job search, resumes, interviewing, etc. I am excited for a new challenge, but will miss Greta dearly. The first few weeks will be quite an adjustment. Greta will love playing with the kids at daycare (that's what I keep telling myself to make this whole thing easier) and it will be good for her to have more interaction besides with her boring parents!

On the house front, we are still waiting on our short sale in Plymouth, but have been looking more heavily in Eden Prairie. We put an offer on a house this week, but the seller's accepted another offer, so we were bummed, but we will keep looking and hopefully find something even better!

Lots of changes in the Kosel household, but we are ready for the challenge!

The above pictures are of Greta's first time swimming and her new favorite toy, the drums!

Lucky #7?

Happy 7 month Birthday to our Baby Greta. Maybe this will be the month she decides to sleep through the night and cut a tooth?!? She is definitely getting "busier" (always rolling, trying to crawl, and never wants to sit still). She loves to stand up, jump in her activity gym, play with blocks/toys, eat cereal, and read books. Greta is not a fan of a lot of the baby food in the jars, so we are making our own in hopes she will enjoy that a little better. It is a battle each day, but I've heard it sometimes takes awhile for them to adjust to "normal" food, so we will just be patient!

2012 has been rather uneventful in our house. We are trying to stay warm in this ridiculous weather and have been looking for a new house when we have time. Nothing that we have loved yet, but now that Christmas is over, we are hoping more people will put their updated 4 bedroom (3 on the same floor, one a Master Suite (with 3/4 bathroom), a nice yard, in a quiet neighborhood, with an open kitchen in Chanhassen, Eden Prairie, Plymouth, Edina, Chaska, or Minnetonka.....I don't think we are asking too much :)

We are looking forward to our upcoming trip back East, for our friends Jill and Eric's wedding on February 17th-20th. Though we will miss our lovely Great J, we will be happy to indulge in some of our old hot spots!

Stay warm.

Christmas!

Well, we have finally finished up all of our Christmas celebrations. We had a fabulous time with our families and were so happy to be back to partake in all of the festivities. Greta of course got nothing, she is so neglected by everyone :) Here are a few photos of Greta's First Christmas!
